Open Call for PHAC Winter PROJECT

The Vision

Step Right Up takes as its subject matter the shadowy, uniquely American, and uniquely NYC-bound forms of entertainment
Circus, Sideshow, and Vaudeville.

This project aims to create works which explore the thrilling, dangerous, exploitative history of these art forms.

At the beating heart of this trio is the act. Your work should begin with a critical examination of the associated history which you will use as conceptual seed to your work.

Your Part

You have until February 1st, 2025 to submit a concept proposal for the show, set to occur in March.

A proposal should include a one or more paragraph description, concept sketches, and list of team members. This will help us understand our venue requirements and scope of show.
